Is Asbestos Sinful

Lesson Theme:  Sowing and Reaping

If asbestos cannot be destroyed, how do they make it? Where does it come from?

Asbestos was once known as the Magic Mineral in the early 1950’s. However, over the past years, society has developed quite a different opinion of this known carcinogenic crystal!

Let’s discover an answer to a frequently asked question:  “Why didn’t Adam and Eve die when they ate the fruit like God said they would?

Out of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” — Genesis 2:17

Lesson Theme:  Reap What You Sow

This world has a wonderful theory… It goes something like this:  “If we can just change the NAME of what we call sin, somehow the consequences will be different.”

Sin becomes ‘Psychological Normalcy’, Lust becomes ‘sex drive’, Unbelief becomes ‘Acedemic Enlightenment’ and ‘Rational thinking’.  (After all, what could be more rational than thinking that, ultimately, we cannot know anything for absolute certain… and thus, we are the smarter for it!)

Christians do not believe in Karma – that is, if you do good for something, it will surely come back to you. Likewise, if you do bad, it also will revisit you.

Jesus never taught Karma.   Jesus taught that we REAP what we SOW.  You never get the same seed you sow. Rather, you get a whole CROP from the little bit that you sow.   It is within this principle we can begin to grasp the destructive nature of sin, and the miracle that lies dormant within the mustard-seed-sized faith.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” — Psalm 94:9
